Susan and Maree had been working together for several years and whilst they enjoyed their work, they did not enjoy working with each other. They tolerated each other, but also avoided each other as much as possible. They were both constantly complaining to their colleagues and manager about different issues – issues that colleagues should have been able to work through. The tension between Susan and Maree escalated to the point where they were both accusing each other of bullying.
WorkMatters evaluated the situation and developed a program using a variety of tools to assist the two individuals and their manager work towards improved and functional team relations. The program included:
- Individual training
- Conflict coaching
- Confidential self-evaluation questionnaires
- Facilitated meetings between the parties
